Indian Textiles Industry has an overwhelming presence in the economic life of the country, besides the textile industry also plays a pivotal role through its contribution to industrial output,

employment generation and export earnings of the country. It contributes about 14% to India’sindustrial production and 13% to the country’s export earnings. The textile sector is one of the largestproviders of employment along with agriculture.In its endeavor to develop, promote and explore exports opportunities for the products of Textileindustry from the country, Ministry of Textiles is organizing ‘Textiles India – 2017’ at Gandhinagar,Gujarat from 30th June to 2nd July, 2017 to showcase India’s strength in the entire gamut of Textiles and apparel, value chains from farm to fiber and fiber to fashion as well as to establish India as a global sourcing and investment destination.

Further, the show will also showcase the best of Indian handicrafts products like metal ware, glassware, stoneware, wooden furniture, textiles based handicrafts, natural fiber products, etc. ‘Textiles

India- 2017’ will have global and Indian leaders together at one platform and the event is being inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

The ‘Textiles India – 2017’ will have B2B and B2G meetings, thematic pavilions, fashion shows,

exhibition, conferences, culture performances. The event is being supported by various Ministries such as Finance, Commerce and Industry, Urban Development, Skill, Tourism and MSME.

One of the highlights of this show is a promotional scheme for qualifying buyers entitles them to get economy class to and fro airfare on fixed reimbursement basis and hotel stay for two or three nights [ as per buyer’s schedule].

The Textiles India 2017 will have very wide range of products on display which will enable all

kinds of buyers to source their requirements under one roof at one time. We, therefore, request you to kindly disseminate information about this fair amongst buyers in your country so that they may consider visiting this fair. The EPCH has introduced a Special Promotional Scheme for buyers which entitle them to economy class air fare (to and fro) on a fixed reimbursement basis and complementary hotel stay for two or three nights [ as per buyer’s schedule] during the show at New Delhi.

Textile India 2017 from 30th June-2nd July, 2017 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat.
Ministry of Textiles is organising a mega international event called Textile India 2017 from 30th
 June-2nd July, 2017 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat. The event will mark the positioning, for the first time,
of an annual textile trade event in the country that will be part of the annual global calendar of the trade.

Besides a mega exhibition that will showcase the strength of the value chain in India, an international conference will be
 held with participation from global and national leaders of the industry, technical experts and senior policy makers from
 the Union and State Governments.

The 3-day event is expected to attract around 1000 international and domestic exhibitors and 2500 buyers from various countries
in the exhibition. Therefore, the event will provide an excellent platform for B2B interactions and for exploring investment and technological
tie-ups across various segments in the textiles value chain.
