International Road Federation - 18th World Road Meeting 2017 (WRM 2017)

IRF Geneva is organizing the 18th World Road Meeting 2017 (WRM 2017) International Road Federation on 14-17 November 2017, in New Delhi, India with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRT&H). The theme of the WRM 2017 is “Safe Roads and Smart Mobility – The Engines of Economic Growth”

This is the opportunity for business and industry to showcase innovative products, practices and technologies that can improve both safety and sustainability of roads and mobility.

The call for Abstract Submissions is open till 31st March 2017 and participants interested to send their papers, may kindly be encouraged to do so.

Directorate General of Mechanised Forces, DGMF in association with FICCI 
is organizing Phase-2: EquipmentFamiliarisation Interactive Workshop & Equipment
 Park for Indian Industry towards Harnessing “Make in India” for Indian Army Mechanised Forces on 24-26 April 2017 at 
Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S), Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

The “Make in India” initiative of the Govt of India includes major new initiatives designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, 
protect Intellectual Property and build best in class manufacturing defence infrastructure. 
The Defence Procurement 
Procedure 2016 is aligned to encourage the initiative.

To promote the spirit of the “Make in India” an Equipment Familiarisation for the Indian Industry on 
Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs), Tanks, 
and ICVs was organised at ACC&S, Ahmednagar in July 2016.  The program was well received by Indian 
Industry and got exposed to AFV platforms.

To participate meaningfully in the Make in India initiative, Indian Industries need to understand 
the equipment and technical requirements of the user. 
AFV design and manufacture is one sphere where the Indian Army can provide access to 
Armoured Vehicles to selected companies / consortiums 
to enable familiarisation with the complex and multifarious technology “A” Vehicles platforms.

Following Equipment of Mechanised Forces will be demonstrated :

A.    Tanks

                              ii.           T-72 & Variants

                            iii.           Arjun

                            iv.           T-55


B.    Infantry Combat Vehicles

                                i.           BMP-1

                              ii.           BMP-2/2K

                            iii.           BRDM (Wheel Platforms)


C.    Armoured Recovery Vehicles

D.    Armoured Vehicles simulator ( T-72, T-90 & BMP-2/2K)

E.    Sectionised cut models of all A Vehicles.

 The forum will not be used by any industry for promotional purpose of product line. FICCI is not charging any registration
or sponsorship fees towards the conduct of this event.

 Last date to receive confirmation of participation is 7 April 2017. Hence, please do send duly filled reply form at the
earliest. (Hard Copy as well as soft copy) along with valid photo id proof.

Only Indian Nationals of Indian & Foreign OEMs Companies can participate in this program.
